This tailor-made expedition will take you to our best fishing spots in Lapland, Sweden which is regarded as the land of the midnight sun. Expect to fish new waters daily, casting from boat or stalking to get to streams and lakes, by foot searching for the big perch of Swedish Lapland.
Perca fluviatilis European perch are greenish with red pelvic, anal and caudal fins. They have five to eight dark vertical bars on their sides. When the perch grow larger, a hump grows between its head and dorsal fin. European perch can vary greatly in size between bodies of water. They can live for up to 22 years, and older perch are often much larger than average; the maximum recorded length in Sweden is 61,5 cm The Swedish record is 3,150 kg. Perch especially are in abundance and grow to a considerable size due to the diet of smaller fish and Gammarus. European perch is fished for food and game fishing. Its flesh is described as good eating, with a white, firm, flaky texture and well-flavored.
